Readers get open access to model pages, comparisons and provider evidence. API providers can submit or correct factual listings for free. Commercial work is separate, scoped and visibly disclosed.
Direct answer: VerticalAPI does not sell access to rankings and does not accept payment to change an editorial conclusion. The previous self-serve gateway subscriptions are not the primary offer on this page.

What this page does—and does not—sell.
Is the public directory free?
Yes. Model pages, provider profiles, comparisons, benchmark methodology and evidence links are public. There is no reader subscription required to inspect the decision data.
Can I pay to change my comparison?
No. You can submit better evidence or identify an error. A correction is accepted because the source supports it, not because a provider pays.
Why are sponsored and research prices not shown?
The deliverables are not standardized enough to publish an honest fixed rate. VerticalAPI first defines placement, dates, evidence scope and disclosure requirements, then provides a written quote.
What happened to the gateway plans?
The gateway is now positioned as a secondary beta utility, not the primary VerticalAPI product. Access is handled directly while the public offer and product capabilities are brought back into alignment. See the gateway documentation.
